We demand and expect EVERY SINGLE ONE of our employees to do the same. Sophenia Betsy Byrd the Owner/President/CEO has been in the healthcare field since 1982. Previously worked as a Licensed Nursing Home Administator until regulations and paperwork got to the point that she couldn't interact with her residents in order to make sure a paper was completed, signed, filed etc.... You see it's not about the paperworK or the money. It's about PEOPLE. She found a job as an Administrator in a Personal Care Home making a LOT less money, However... The paperwork was a LOT less with little to no regulatigons in 1991. She was able to sit and talk, take trips with her residents and their families, interact with them and become a part of their lives. She and another Personal Care Home owner along with at the time the Head of the Department Of Human Resources for the State Of Georgia and actually wrote the rules and regulations for the State Of Georgia. After writing the rules and regulation, there were several owners that were having problems complying and or were looking to build a Personal Care Home that was needing advice, so Mrs. Byrd started a consulting business which we still have to this day called New Horizon's Management, Inc. We assisted Owners with Regulatory Issues, Marketing, Staff Training, Management, Permiting and Various other Ownership and Business Related concerns.

I will not bore you with the typical services that most all facilities provide such as Three nutritious meals a day plus snacks, daily house keeping, assistance with bathing and personal hygiene needs, medication monitoring and assistance, etc... That ALL Licensed personal care homes are Required to provide. These are the services that New Horizon's provides that set us a part from most other homes that you have to choose from. Quality well trained and caring staff. Degrees and certifications mean little to us in our hiring process. We look into the heart and soul of all our staff. Their moral and ethical standards by which they live. We have a beauty shop on site at all our locations, a Limo for our residents to use ,with chauffeur to be treated as the King and Queens that they are, we have a podiatrist that comes to each location to see Them not the other way around, a house physician that comes to see Them and offer the one on one attention that they deserve, a Registered nurse at all locations to address any medical concerns that they may have and coordinate with the family and physician to assure those needs are met, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy as well as Rehabilitation Therapy ordered by a physician provided by Home Health on site, a Registered dietician to assure that they are receiving good wholesome meals, while also listening to our residents and providing good HOME COOKED meals like they are accustomed to making themselves and for their own families. Actually having and providing activities, outings and trips health and weather permitting that THEY enjoy and want to do. A Pharmacist that actually comes to Them to monitor their medicines and address any concerns that they may have. Several pastors from different denominations come to Them so that they may participate in any religious activities that They want. We may not be the Cheapest home that you can choose from, I can assure you however that we certainly are NOT the most expensive but we will provide the best, happiest and fun loving facility.We accept Long-Term care insurance and assist either you the resident or you the family filing claims in order to get your benefits started as soon as possible, we accept private pay and also participate in all Medicaid programs that provide financial assistance with Personal Care Home services at ALL our locations. UNLIKE many homes there will not be any additional fees other than the daily rate that you are quoted, No.....Oh there is a extra charge for Laundry services, Janitorial services, or based on level of care. Our one rate covers ALL the services regardless so there are no hidden fees or surprise charges. We will also pay referral fees for clients that are referred to us and admitted to our home that you may use toward your rent or for additional monthly income or spending money on your outing or trips.
We also provide Short-Term and Temporary stay visits, as well as Adult Day Care on a Private Pay basis.
